Hit anime Jujutsu Kaisen has released a key visual and promo video for its highly anticipated Shibuya Incident arc!
The visual and video feature countless jujutsu sorcerers, curse users, and cursed spirits ready for action in the upcoming arc. The latter also marks the very first chance for fans to hear the anime's next opening theme song, "SPECIALZ" by King Gnu.
Originally a manga by Gege Akutami, Jujutsu Kaisen follows Yuji, a high school boy who chooses to join the Occult Research Club, despite his exceptional talent for athletics. When a cursed talisman is accidentally unsealed, Yuji swallows it and becomes the host of the curse, which he must carry until he is able to kill it along with himself.
The first season aired from October 2020 to March 2021 with 24 episodes. The second season consists of two continuous cours that tell the stories of the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc and the Shibuya Incident arc.
Jujutsu Kaisen's Shibuya Incident arc will begin airing from August 31, 2023.
