Aquatope of White Sand, an original TV anime by P.A.Works, has confirmed its July 8 broadcast date and additional casting!
Shimba Tsuchiya is set to join the cast as Kukuru’s childhood friend Kai Nakamura, along with Yohei Azakami as aquarium staff member Kuuya Yakamashi, and Hiroshi Yanaka as Ojii, or Kukuru’s grandfather, who is also the aquarium's director.
Character designer U35 has released a special illustration of Kai and Kuuya.
Aquatope of White Sand follows Kukuru Misakino, a high school student who works at a small aquarium in Okinawa. There, she meets former idol Fuka Miyazawa, who has given up on her dream and escaped from her life in Tokyo.
Toshiya Shinohara will direct with Yuko Kakihara handling series composition and P.A. Works producing.
Aquatope of White Sand airs from July 8, 2021.
