Anime film Sword Art Online Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night has released a clip of Asuna taking her first stab at hunting!
While Asuna is widely known in-game as a talented player with the nickname "Lightning Flash," the clip shows her struggling against two low-level monsters back when she still lacked experience.
Sword Art Online Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night is based on the Progressive series, a floor-by-floor reboot of the original Sword Art Online light novel series penned by Reki Kawahara. The story jumps to Asuna's point of view as she is forced to battle through all 100 floors of the immersive MMORPG world of Aincrad in order to escape the deadly game.
Sword Art Online Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night is currently screening in Japan. It will also open at theaters and IMAX in the US and Canada on December 3, 2021.
