Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Square Enix’s landmark RPG series Mana will be getting a TV anime adaptation titled The Legend of Mana: Teardrop Crystal!

The anime will be based on The Legend of Mana, the fourth in a series of games which began as a Final Fantasy spin-off in 1991. First released in 1999, it is fondly remembered by fans for its picture book-style graphics and whimsical score. An HD remaster of the game was also released on June 24.

Warner Bros. Japan will produce while Graphinica & Yokohama Animation Lab will handle the animation.

Details on the release date are yet to come.

Upcoming magical girl anime Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story has released a new Season 2 trailer showcasing its ending theme song, "Lapis" by TrySail!

Along with the trailer, it was revealed that J-pop duo ClariS will perform the opening theme song, “Careless." ClariS previously performed the first season's opening theme song, while TrySail performed the ending theme song.

Adapted from hit TV anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica's spin-off smartphone game, Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story aired its first season from January to March 2020.

The series follows a kindhearted middle schooler and magical girl named Iroha Tamaki, who fights witches armed with her trusty crossbow but is unable to remember why she made her fateful deal with the mysterious Kyubey. Hearing of a town where magical girls can be saved, she ventures to Kamihama but discovers the witches there to be far more powerful than she expected.

Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story Season 2 airs from August 1, 2021. Its third and final season will debut in late 2021.

The visual was revealed during a 10th anniversary MAPPA event held on June 27.

Originally an action manga by Hajime Isayama, Attack on Titan is set in a world where the last remnants of humanity live behind giant walls to protect themselves from man-eating giants known as Titans.

The manga was first adapted into a TV anime series by Wit Studio in 2013, going on to receive second and third seasons from 2017 to 2019. Produced by MAPPA, the first part of Season 4, titled Attack on Titan: The Final Season, aired from January 2021 and ended on March 28.

Attack on Titan Season 4 will continue with Part 2 this winter.

MAPPA has dropped the first teaser video for its upcoming anime adaptation of popular manga Chainsaw Man!

The trailer was revealed at a 10th anniversary event for MAPPA held on June 27, where the anime's main staff was also announced. Ryu Nakamura will direct with a script by Hiroshi Seko and character design by Kazutaka Sugiyama. Tatsuya Yoshihara will serve as the action director, Makoto Nakazono as the chief technical director, and Yusuke Takeda as the art director. The devils will be designed by Kiyotaka Oshiyama, while music is to be composed by kensuke ushio.

Based on Tatsuki Fujimoto's horror manga, Chainsaw Man follows a young man named Denji who becomes a devil hunter in order to pay off his dead father's debts to the yakuza. After falling victim to a plot by the yakuza, he merges with his demon dog Pochita to become Chainsaw Man.

The hero of Advent Children arrives to Square Enix’ Play Arts Kai line on none other than his trusty motorcycle, the Fenrir! Standing 10.9” tall, Cloud is featured in his Cloudy Wolf attire that debuted in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

The set also includes his cell phone, goggles, his Fusion Sword both in its separate and fully assembled forms, as well as interchangeable arm and hand parts to help you revive the most iconic scenes of the movie. You can even sheathe his sword(s), and his cape comes with inner wiring to assist with bending into your desired pose.

Fenrir measures 6.7” by 17.5” by 7.1”, and is impeccably recreated from its characteristic streamlined design, glossy finish, and impressive mufflers down to its sword holders. It can also light up both on the front and the back, all you need to add are LR44/A7 button cell batteries~
